Terms of service
Last updated 4 September 2026
These are the terms for playing Stridefall and using this website. By installing the game or creating an account you agree to them. They are short because we would rather you actually read them.
Who you are dealing with
Stridefall is published by Mandooist, based in Australia. Novari, the world the game is set on, and all of the game's characters, art, writing and systems belong to Mandooist.
The game is in development
Stridefall is pre-release software. Features will change, balance will change, and things will break. During testing we may need to reset progress, remove items, or change how something works, and we will tell you when we do. Nothing you earn before release is guaranteed to survive to release.
Your account
- You need to be at least 13 to create an account.
- Give us a real email address; it is how you recover your account.
- One account per person. Keep your password to yourself.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- You can delete your account at any time; theaccount deletion page explains how.
Fair play
The whole game rests on real movement. So the one rule that really matters is: do not fake it. That means no injecting or fabricating step data, no modified clients, no tampering with your save file, and no automated play. Fake runs sent to Strava to win a race count too.
If we find an account has cheated we may reset its progress, remove it from races and leaderboards, or close it. We will act on the evidence we have and we will tell you what we did.
Also: be decent to other players. Harassment, hate, or impersonating us will get an account closed.
Virtual items
Items, currency, levels and everything else in the game are game content licensed to you for play. They have no value outside the game, cannot be exchanged for money, and are not your property. We may change or remove them as the game develops. Nothing in the game is for sale today; if that changes, these terms will be updated first.
Your health
Stridefall encourages you to walk. It is a game, not a medical or fitness device, and it does not give health advice. Know your own limits, take the conditions and your surroundings seriously, and see a doctor before changing your activity if you have any reason to. You are responsible for your own safety when you play.
Third-party services
Sign-in and cloud saves run on Google's Firebase. Strava is optional and only connected if you choose to. Health Connect and Apple Motion belong to Google and Apple. Each of these has its own terms, and we are not responsible for them. Our privacy policy says exactly what each one receives.
Licence
You get a personal, non-transferable licence to install and play the game on devices you own. You may not copy, sell, rent, or reverse engineer it, except where the law lets you regardless of what we say here. Streaming the game, making videos about it, and writing about it are welcome.
Warranties and liability
The game and this site are provided as they are. To the extent the law allows, we exclude all warranties and are not liable for any loss arising from playing or from being unable to play, including lost progress.
If you are a consumer in Australia, the Australian Consumer Law gives you guarantees that cannot be excluded, and nothing here tries to. Where we are allowed to limit our liability for a failure to meet a guarantee, our liability is limited to supplying the service again.
Ending things
You can stop playing and delete your account whenever you like. We can close an account that breaks these terms, and we can stop offering the game altogether, in which case we will give reasonable notice where we can.
Changes to these terms
We will update this page and the date at the top when the terms change. For a material change we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to play after that is agreement to the new terms.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia, and any dispute goes to the courts there.
