Account deletion
Last updated 4 September 2026
You can delete your Stridefall account from inside the game, in a few taps, or by asking us. Both are described here. Neither needs a reason.
Delete your account in the app
In the app, open Settings and scroll to the Danger zone.
- Tap Delete account.
- Enter your password. We ask for it so nobody with your unlocked phone can do this to you.
- Confirm. The game wipes the save on your phone, deletes your cloud save, and deletes your sign-in.
- The app returns to the sign-in screen, as if freshly installed.
Anything a phone is not allowed to delete directly, such as our fair play records, is removed by us within 30 days of the request the app files on your behalf.
If you only want to start over and keep your sign-in, tapDelete character & save file instead. That removes the save on your phone and in the cloud but leaves your email address registered.
Or ask us
If you no longer have the app installed, or cannot sign in, send us a request from the email address the account is registered under, with the subject line "Delete my Stridefall account". We reply to that address to confirm it is really you, and then delete the account. Using the registered address is how we check the request is yours; we cannot act on a request from a different address.
Send the request by email at support@stridefall.com.
What gets deleted
- Your sign-in (email address and password hash) from Firebase Authentication.
- Your cloud save.
- The fair play record of your step totals.
- Your in-game mailbox and any messages in it.
- Your Strava connection, if you had one. Revoking the game from your Strava account as well is a good idea; we cannot do that side for you.
Deletion happens within 30 days of confirmation, including from backups. After that we hold nothing tied to your account. We keep no record of the request beyond what is needed to prove it was carried out.
What stays on your phone
Deleting the account does not reach into your phone. Uninstall the app to remove its local files, and if you granted step access, you can revoke it in Health Connect or your phone's Motion settings. The step records themselves belong to the health platform and were never ours.
Newsletter
The launch mailing list is separate from game accounts. Every email from it has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing deletes the address.
